Clan server

If you know how to make a real server. Please let me know because it could really help us been know aswell

ANYONE can help us out on this one. We are looking into making our own UT clan.

We also want suggestions on whether it be a Team DM server, Team Surv. , etc.

Any comments (relevant to this post) will help!

I dont think we are just one type of game clan.
we could play in anyone we want

Hahahaha well pineapple didnt really know how to set up server.
All you got to do is go to urban terror site look in manuel and find server set up.

No problem

setting up a clan UrT (Urban Terror) server is piss easy..

first thing, is what pc are you going to run it off, must be pretty decent, and also what operating system are you going to run it off to... ( i run it off an actual windows 2003 server, 2cpu processors both are dual core 2.8ghz, 4gb ram, etc blah)

next is make sure that you have a good MG limit per month.. also you will need to know how to use/configure your internet/broadband router to setup pinholes or NAT depends on what your router calles it..

then once this is done you will need to go into your server.cfg file and make changes in there , ie max players and maxrate, server name, etc.

then once that is done you will need to setup a bat file to run the server calling a few command lines

then run it and try and connect to it from another computer.

i can break this down all easy for you if need be.

for anyone that doesnt know already, I used to host the old TK server b4 it got taken down and changed to be hosted by KMA. also this was running 32users max like a train and also b3 bot on it... now the server is still being used as our RSG.RedSkies server with b3 on it, but with a lower player limit on it and up at certain times.

When you hit 24-30 odd players on it, then you start using 500meg per hour which isnt good for your internet usage..

so think where you want this to be run and times and player limits etc

Urban terror server is easy to setup.. b3 bot is a bunch harder and you need mysql, python, mysql plug for pyhton, and .net framework 2 installed on your system with a database setup for b3 to use..

I need to talk to Holy about this, and then we can discuss setting up a server (preferably in AUS, ping is too high in US).

We need to find out the poor man's way of getting a server (i.e. Free) . If you can help us out a bit, it would be much appreciated.

I can do the config and command line stuff (isn't that hard to learn I'm sure) and we can figure out the rest further on.
